Her anger hurts my ears
I’m tired of this, she said
She asked me to leave my own apartment
So I did, happily--I would rather
Live alone, I said what I thought--
As did she.
I fell asleep on the sidewalk and it
Almost seemed God had shown me a
Slideshow of my life, skipping over
My mistakes, but I remembered
And I
Would I still be asking her to dinner?
